Maida-2 cups
Milk powder-1 cup
Sugar-3 cups
Ghee-10 tsp
Cardamom powder-1tsp
Yellow food colour-a pinch
Chopped nuts of your choice-1tbsp
Put sugar in a bowl & add water just to immerse the sugar.Boil it till you get a two string consistency, add food colour & cardamom. keep it aside.Put maida & 8tsp of ghee in a pan & fry it till raw smell goes off & slightly changes its colour switch off the gas & mix the milk powder & nuts. From here cooking is not done on fire, just on the kitchen counter top. Now start adding the hot sugar syrup little by little to the maida mixture & keep mixing it till everything is absorbed & forms a soft dough(like a soft chapati dough),add the remaining ghee & mix.Immediately pour it on a greased plate.Level it well with a greased spatula.Cut it to desired shape while still warm.
